The useful routine, not the whole family file

Give caregivers the facts they need—and no more.

This printable baby information card keeps everyday routines, comfort cues, supply locations, parent contacts, and exact care-team instructions in one privacy-conscious snapshot.

Design the handoff

Keep the card small enough to stay current.

Write the normal routine

Record the baby's current feeding, sleep, diaper, and comfort routine as practical observations—not rigid promises or medical conclusions.

Date every copy

A visible updated-on date helps a caregiver reject an old card instead of following a routine the baby has outgrown.

Use care-team wording

If a clinician has given instructions the caregiver needs, copy those words and the contact route. Do not invent dosing, thresholds, or triage rules.

Point to supplies

List where bottles, milk, diapers, sleep gear, spare clothes, and cleanup supplies are kept so the handoff is usable under pressure.

Separate emergency details

Keep detailed health, insurance, pharmacy, address, pediatrician, after-hours, poison, and emergency information on the separate current contact sheet.

Minimize and retrieve

Share only what this caregiver needs for this care period. Retrieve or destroy stale copies instead of letting private routine data accumulate.
